Narrating the Cracks is a double-channel video essay that question the tight relationship between social administration and environmental conditions of the Southern Alps region.
Using wood as a case study, the project seeks to underline the indissoluble symbiosis between socio and eco-systemical processes. Within the context of the research, climate change covers the dual role of cause and caused in its already started path towards the subversion of contemporary human forms of government.
In parallel to the moving images project has been developed a publication, which through satellite images and testimonies from the administration and citizens, draws a line between the European energy biomass trade and the disaster of Vaia hurricane that hit Eastern Alps in 2018.
